Meet Rick Southerland

Rick Southerland is a native of Wilmington. He spent 3 decades as an artist, educator, and advocate - former Director for Writing, Arts, and Media Studies and Associate Professor of Dance at Goucher College, Past President of the National Dance Education Organization, and former Education Director at Sierra Arts Foundation. He has led global programs and continues to spark advocacy and empower communities through choreography, performance, research, and inspired leadership.
